The Poço Preto Trail:

The Poço Preto trail which begins with a nine kilometer trail, either on foot, by bicycle or in a jeep.  As you go, your multilingual guide will point out the highlights of the flora and fauna surrounding you.

When you reach the river you cross a small inlet on a suspended bridge and ascend to a treehouse high in the branches of the forest canapy.  From here you can see the 'Lake of the Crocodile', a shallow muddy lake teeming with birdlife and the occasional crocodile.

After descending from your hidden lookout point, you walk back to the river where the excursion continues by bi-motor boat whilst you eat lunch.  In the middle of the River participants are offerered the opportunity to leave the boat and to continue the journey in special inflatable kayaks. 

After returning to dry land there is a final short walk or jeep ride back through the rainforest to your starting point.

Please note that the walking and cycling options on this excursion require a good level of fitness.

The Bananeiras Trail:

The Bananeiras Trail is an ideal excursion for nature lovers and is less strenuous than the Poço Preto Trail. 

The trail is a lesser 1.6 kilometers long and passes by many small ponds where there is an abundance of aquatic birds and flora.  The ten meter high treehouse overlooking the 'Lake of the Crocodile' is visited and participants can take inflatable kayaks and explore the Bamboo Island Archipelago if they wish. 

Canoas Port:

This is a short excursion by boat leaving from and returning to the Canoas Port.  This is a tour of the section of river just above the Iguaçu Falls. 

Trips and tours take place daily between 09:00 and 17:00.
