Environmental Awareness
In 2000 the Hotel das Cataratas became the first Eco Resort in South America to obtain ISO 14001 certification, a sign of our commitment to maintaining the environment.
The main aim of environment efforts was to reduce the use of natural resources.
The implementation of an ecologically sound system took a period of 12 months as environmental activities involving employees, suppliers and guests were put into place. |
The four main groups of activities involved were; garbage collection, conservation of water resources, conservation of electrical energy and conservation of other natural resources.
We continue to be proactive with new initiatives. We are constantly striving to reduce our ecological impact on our beautiful natural surroundings through our staff training system. |
